A senior executive with demonstrated year-after-year success achieving revenue and business growth for her clients, Carol H. Williams has been at the helm of the company she founded since 1986. She has led and motivated more than 5,000 employees over a 30-year career and has exceeded $30 million in revenue during high-performance and growth periods. She leads a highly diverse and skilled staff that has produced award-winning advertising and marketing campaigns for many Fortune 500 companies, including General Motors (Cadillac), General Mills, Kraft, Gilead Sciences, HP, Nationwide Insurance, Procter & Gamble, the U.S. Army, The Walt Disney Company, Marriott, and many others.
Carol started her career at Leo Burnett Company in Chicago and quickly earned a position as their first African American Female Creative Director and Vice President. After 13 years at Leo Burnett, she served two years as Senior Vice President, Creative Director at Foote, Cone & Belding in San Francisco.
Carol has received numerous professional honors and community awards during her career. Passionate about community service, she has used her talent and resources to help dozens of philanthropic endeavors, including the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, the Congressional Black Caucus, NAACP, U.S. Dream Academy, National Newspaper Publishers Association, and numerous local community organizations.
As Vice President at Carol H Williams Advertising, Stan Hebert is responsible for leadership, building successful teams, effective operations, and finance. Before CHWA, Stan worked in Advertising & Marketing with Needham, Harper & Steers, and Levi Strauss. He also served as a faculty member, marketing leader and executive administrator at California State University, where he spearheaded several multicultural initiatives to increase enrollment and graduation rates for African American students. Stan has also served in executive leadership positions in the community including Foundation Board Chair for Barlow Respiratory Hospital, the Executive Director for the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce, and Treasurer of the East Oakland Youth Development Center Board of Directors. When not at work, Stan usually spends time with his loving wife Angie and is doting father to their adorable kids and Willow the wonder dog.
As Creative Director, Carol is responsible for all creative campaigns being produced at Carol H. Williams Advertising. She has led several campaigns for notable clients at the agency such as General Motors, U.S. Census, U.S. Army, Covered California, the Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd), and many others. Prior to working at Carol H. Williams, she received her MA from Goldsmiths College, University of London and completed a two-year fellowship at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
In her free time, Carol is a novelist and writer. She has been published in The Guardian, The Establishment, and Dame magazine. Additionally, she works with local Oakland high schools to impart the importance of art and writing and discuss how to own your creative voice.
As VP/Creative Director, Thomas is in charge of the creative execution and direction of all campaigns. Thomas has spent his entire 26-year career with CHWA, having the opportunity to serve clients as both writer and an art director. Some of his clients include U.S. Army, Kraft, Nissan, and Disney. Outside of the office, Thomas loves to travel and explore with his camera. He also loves to cook, is a vintage-toy collector, and is a self-proclaimed sci-fi fanatic!
As Finance Manager, Romeo is responsible for the review, analysis, and documentation of revenue contracts at Carol H. Williams Advertising. In addition, he ensures accurate billing and documentation on client-specific and agency billing activity, audit measures, and accountability.
Romeo has worked in finance for more than 30 years while supporting advertising agencies, media companies, and retail businesses.
In addition to running the agency’s balance sheet, Romeo loves to cook, travel, collect toys, and spend time with his family.
As Director of Finance, Betty is responsible for providing leadership to the finance team, reviewing and signing client contracts, and interpreting and managing all aspects of client finance at Carol H. Williams Advertising. She worked at the Treasury Department–Internal Revenue Service in Chicago, across all tiers of tax compliance systems, prior to working at CHWA. With a major in mathematics from the University of Illinois, Betty ensures all financial matters are actively resolved for a smooth-running show.
As Account Director, Tiffany leads the General Motors account at Carol H Williams Advertising. She is responsible for the seamless communication between the agency and the clients. With more than 10 years of experience working across various digital advertising campaigns for major automotive brands like Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford and Alfa Romeo, Tiffany likes to consider herself an “old car guy”. When Tiffany is not working, she is usually tackling DIY projects around the house with her family and is also a connoisseur of hidden treasures at resale and antique shops.
As Account Supervisor, Nathan is responsible for the clean flow of communication between the agency and clients such as U.S. Bank, the United States Census, and ComEd. Before joining Carol H. Williams Advertising, Nate worked at Leo Burnett, where he executed a wide range of deliverables for Altria. When he’s not working, Nate loves attending live music shows and painting.
As Event Coordinator, Earl is responsible for facilitating and executing the clients’ grandest event plans. Earl has been at Carol H. Williams Advertising for over 12 years and has managed events for Kraft, P&G, the United States Army, and General Motors. When not at work, Earl loves to go camping and biking and listen to country music while indulging in lakefront living in Chicago.
